At the Korea-China Economic Forum held on the 24th, in addition to lectures by experts from both countries, an IR (IR) and product/service demonstrations caught the attention of the attendees. About 20 companies that attended the forum seemed to be actively communicating by setting a separate date for the meeting.

Double H drew attention as a new concept diet method to lose weight without exercise by introducing ‘Lumi Diet’, a diet belt device that uses light emitting diode (LED) light to break down fat. When I explained that wearing it for 4 weeks would reduce abdominal fat, questions continued endlessly. Chinese entrepreneurs showed extraordinary interest by purchasing sample products worth over 500,000 won. Tang Liya, CEO of Beijing Jinsheng Biotech, actively searched for a business partner, discussing the date of visiting the office with Double H.

R&U drew attention with its PAAR (Personal Activity Assisting & Reminding) band, a wearable device worn like a watch. At the exhibition booth, attendees lined up to try on the band, which can measure vital signs such as exercise amount measurement, exercise history search, heart rate, blood sugar, and oxygen saturation, and record management. Bayless, a software company, demonstrated a smart remote controller that allows users to conveniently and safely make and receive phone calls, check text messages, and use cell phone functions such as cameras while driving, receiving a barrage of questions from Chinese businessmen.

Products and services that would be welcomed in the B2B (business-to-business) market also drew attention. OneFirst's 'Time One' is an Internet of Things (IoT) solution that allows employees to easily manage their time and attendance with smart watches, smartphones, and tags. OneFirst also applied IoT to digital door locks and introduced the door lock ‘Noki One’ that can control building access with just a mobile phone. It is a method that allows you to open a smart door lock by issuing a password via text message. In addition, MISYS invited participants with a prototype of an integrated chemical information sharing system targeting Chinese chemical companies and exporting companies to China. Smart Shot exhibited dart game and board game devices that can be enjoyed more realistically by applying IoT and augmented reality (AR) technology.

Officials from Chinese companies also publicized their products with enthusiasm. Haimingbao Asian Helicopter emphasized that 500 airports for general use in China will be built by 2020, raising interest in services related to general aviation in China. Feiyan Smart Science and Technology Co., Ltd. explained drone flight control, GPS tracking algorithms, and smart delivery robots, drawing the curiosity of the audience. /Reporters Yu Ju-hee and Lee Ji-yoon ginger@sedaily.com
